Deadlines

Sat in the office, and what can I see?
Here in the office, with my cup of tea
Here in the office, they are all friendly
Sat in the office, trying to keep busy

Stuck in the office, outside it's sunny
Here in the office, it's hot and gloomy
Here in the office, the phone rings for me
Stuck in the office, can't write poetry

I hate the office, it's no comedy
Here in the office, the clock's cruelty
Here in the office, boredom factory
I hate the office, its hierarchy

Can't leave the office, there's many like me
Can’t leave the office, not till we’re sixty

Funny poem and god do I know what that feel like. Had me laughing!

There's a poem you should read, on a more serious tip by Don McWilliams called 'Deadfall'. It's on www.poemhunter.com. Check it out. It's a favourite of mine!
Thanks for the laughs
Ally :-)
