All;
Following on from the Pandora’s Box competition ran brilliantly by Isobel and
Biting the Bullet just as well by Dave Bradley which has followed on after that,
after discussion with both Alvin the winner and Dave, I am now going to follow
on with this month’s prize and competition.
Trying to keep to the rules as much as Dave did, the rules are:
1. The theme is ‘Freedom’. The poem, or poems, have to have something,
however tenuous, to do with this.
2. It should be blogged in October. It would be helpful if it was
tagged ‘Freedom’ (and if possible also email me on aen1mpo@yahoo.co.uk
to let me know you have posted a poem onto this competition to make sure
I don't miss it by accident)
3. As Dave did, I'll post a reminder near the end of the month. (Closing
date October 31st). On 1st November - I'll blog on here a list of all the poems
written on the theme in the month and invite votes.
4. As before, there will be one vote per WOL member. Don't vote for
yourself. Votes to be emailed by end of play November 5th to
me at aen1mpo@yahoo.co.uk.
5. The winner receives a £10 Waterstones voucher. I won't
enter or vote but will use a casting vote if there's a tie. There will
only be one winner.
If there is a good response the winner may like to suggest
a theme for December, though as Dave says they should feel
under no pressure to come up with another voucher.
Good luck everybody.

Well done Andy. I will have a ponder and see if I can pen something. A good, broad theme. Winston x
Well done Andy for having a go. I can feel a poem brewing up. Don't worry if they come slowly at first

I'll add to what everyone else has said. Have a couple of poems to finish, then I'll have a go. Right now the only freedom I would like is from the chore of housework - or the guilt of not doing it. Perhaps I should write about that... x
