mid-week I hope to sort out my last note on the comp (ended up been away for the week-end) but I just want to add, it was a pleasure organising the comp and I had so much praise, it almost makes me feel big-headed - lol.
For the next competition, I have been speaking to Paul - more details to follow!
yes, well done everybody it was a great exercise, bring on the next topic (Paul?) Win x
Well done and Congratulations to Paul, Ann and Chris. xxx
Gobsmacked to come second - well done Paul! And I am chuffed! xx
I'd like to thank everyone who voted for the poem, it's much appreciated. I hoped you would like a poem about Freedom that gave the reader the freedom to complete it.
Andy said a number of glamorous women voted for it so thanks to them though, obviously, no more so than the common people, like me - er not that I voted for it er you know what I mean.
I enjoyed a lot of the other poems too so well done everyone who entered and particularly the well deserved runners up.
To give you all a chance in future I'll not enter another competition ;) So now you've no excuse for not entering the next one.
Meanwhile, back to the begging letter to Rachel McGladdery and congratulations to her on winning the far more prestigious and lucrative John Lennon slam!
I thought Paul's poem was brill - very quirky. Well done all and well done Andy for organising it. It went so well. I meant to comment on all but in the end there were just too many to keep up with. x
Thank-you Janet, and I absolutely agree with you about the winner. Well done to Ann too.
Interesting, I thought, that all 3 poems are so different!
