The Festival of Bathing Beauties is the UK’s only arts festival centred in and around beach huts. The second annual festival will take place in Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea, on the Lincolnshire coast, on September 20th and 21st 2008. The aim of the festival is to bring exciting, innovative and dynamic work to the area, for the benefit of local communities and to encourage cultural tourism.

We are looking for artists, companies and performers to take part in the festival. All art forms are eligible: we are interested in performances, events, exhibitions, concerts, installations and participatory activity. We are booking work which can take place in a beach hut, on the seafront or on the beach. Work that has particular relevance to Lincolnshire, to the coast, or to beach huts, or work that is unusual, quirky, playful, strange or innovative is of particular interest. Both existing work that can be adapted for the festival and new work are of interest. Local, regional and national individuals and companies are eligible.

For participatory activity Mantle Arts requires all artists to have a current CRB check. We can facilitate the CRB application process if necessary.
