I want to buy you chocolate shoes

with cherry buttons at the heel

a petticoat of sugarspun

like candifrost

and sparklers

I want to buy you chocolate shoes

with parma violets at the heel

and as the chocolate melts into

the tender crevice slip my tongue

to find the delicacy there

the cleavage inbetween your toes

I want to buy you chocolate shoes

with soles made out of candied fruits

to stick you to my floor so you

can never run away from me

entice you with an ice gem ring

and keep you sweet and keep you sweet

in petticoats and chocolate shoes

and dreams of toes and tongues and you

I Like it!its is very fluid and captivationg due to the same words beginning each stanza. Its suits the list style and keeps the intense focus on the 2 protagonists :o)

for an old bint you ain't half got a dirty mind !

On that note, ....a friend of mine has been avoiding men for years - frightened that she might catch something.... then she goes & catches E.Coli off a cucumber !

This is lovely, Ann, especially the final verse, wonderful rhythm and language. That said, I wonder why the 2nd verse isn't more compact, like the last one.

That's a lovely recording and performance. Your voice lends itself well to audio. What a shame you don't get more chance to perform your stuff - it really brings it to life. x

I guess I didn't think of doing an audio cos it was supposed to be a man talking to a woman. I was putting myself in someone else's shoes!
