Aoife Mannix hosts arts festival open mic

Irish writer and poet Aoife Mannix, currently poet in residence on BBC Radio 4’s Saturday Live, the BBC World Service’s World Today and for the Royal Shakespeare Company,  hosts a Poets in the Pub open mic night at North Nineteen during the Holloway arts festival in north London on Monday 13 June.

Aoife Mannix is the author of four collections of poetry: The Trick of Foreign Words (2002); The Elephant in the Corner (2005); Growing Up An Alien (2007); and Turn The Clocks Upside Down (2008). Venue: North Nineteen, 194-196 Sussex Way, N19 4HZ. Time: 7.30 - 9pm. Tickets: £5 on door and £3 for poets, who are invited to bring their work and read for up to three minutes.
