Birmingham's poet laureate on the riots

Birmingham’s poet laureate, Roy McFarlane, is the guest  at PureandGoodandRight’s open mic event at the Sozzled Sausage in Leamington Spa on 12 September. One of Roy’s most recent poems, Saving Our Sons, was inspired by the riots and death of three young men in Birmingham.  The open mic event begins at 7.30pm. Map.
