Poetry in the square at St Ives festival

St Ives festival kicks off on 10 September and goes on until 24 September, with open mic poetry and music in Norway Square, Back Road West, every day during the festival in Cornwall.  It's hosted by poet and artist Bob Deveraux. Map. The festival boasts heaps of music, art exhibitions and workshops, plays and comedy, and with more poetry events as well. On Saturday 17 September, at the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden, Barnoon Hill, at 2.30pm, poet and painter Peter Gillies, with poet and playwright Phil Bowen read their own and other authors’ poems about painters and St Ives (£5.25 and £3 concessions -  includes free book). Then on Thursday 22 September, Angela Stoner reads poetry inspired by the landscape of west Cornwall at 2.30-3.30pm, St Ives Library, Gabriel Street . There are a limited number of free places, so book at the library.
