QUESTION
Is it not the way of Man
To look upon each day,
And do the very best he can,
And do it while he may?
Is it not the way of Man
To look upon each day,
And do the very best he can,
And do it while he may?

You could play with that first line, lots couldn't you?..it would change the whole perspective of the read with say a Should it be
the plan of man..this little one got me to thinking.. :)
Isobel - perhaps I should write
"Is it not the plan for Man..." :-)

No, it's not :(
Aristotelian ethics in a poetic pill!
This poem could have saved me 4 years study!

Depends on how you look at it and define it. For some, 'do the very best he can' could have menacing implications... ; )
