My Lifeboat
The whirlpools of loneliness
were pulling me down,
you were my lifeboat.
With all my effort,
I forced myself
to push towards you.
Your kisses, your smiles
your touch saved me
from my lonely life.
The whirlpools of loneliness
were pulling me down,
you were my lifeboat.
With all my effort,
I forced myself
to push towards you.
Your kisses, your smiles
your touch saved me
from my lonely life.
Good poem, Shirley, enjoyed.

Hi Shirley, nice cameo of a poem. IMO the first line would read better without 'the' giving it added oomph.
Loneliness is a topic most people experience at certain times, some strangely enough especially when in a crowded room so the subject matter will resonate.
Great piccy to draw in the eye.
