Down by the sea...

entry picture

I lost my care-full

soul...

where?

there,

down by the sea...

She cast a smiling

glance...

where?

there,

looking back at me...

I'm sure

I left my soul...

where?

there,

down by the sea...

I stooped to pick

it up...

where?

there,

down by the sea...

I watched as

she walked away...

where?

there,

into the waiting sea...

I let it slip like

sand...

where?

between care-less

thoughts and fingers,

into a waiting sea...

I like this Tommy - agree with the others on the use of repetition. Black ending there with her going into the sea - good, that.

I like the split of care-full, and care-less changing the meaning .. sad one..

I liked the repetition - like a lyric. And the
way it conjured up a fleeting moment of opportunity lost - in my mind, anyway.
