Live and Let Live

I’ve read the ripostes about cycling

By MC and then by Yvonne

Who commented on the blog by Lynn Dye;

It’s time for the thoughts of Our John.

Sometimes I drive round in a Vectra,

Sometimes I ride round on my bike,

At others I ride Shanks’s Pony;

In fact I do as I like!

I’ve suffered abuse doing any of these

But despite that name-calling's rife

There’s never a doubt which one of the three’s

The best way to forfeit your life.

Lynn - whatever floats your boat, so to speak!
But isn't it interesting how the unlikeliest
subjects give rise to some rousing efforts?
There are cyclists who say a tow-path
Is not a sweet and low path
And would prefer a byway,
Or - better still - a highway!
Ding-ding!

Well done, John, you are quite right, of course!

(Mind you, I think my original message on towpaths has become completely lost - perhaps another poem may be looming? haha)

You take your life in your hands every time you put your bum on the seat.
Apparently statistics have proved that the most common cause of death is lack of life.
Well done Jonh keep them coming. XX
