The Bolton Flasher

On the Festival trail

Enquiring in Costa Coffee

No poetry in window

Directed to the back

Sure enough the poem

Displayed on notice board

Sensitively placed in between

Urgent call customer's toilets

Ladies on the left

Gents on the right

I pointed my lens

First it was up

Then down too far

I fiddled with it

To get maximum effect

Huge gigantic powerful flash

As one door opens

A startled lady appeared

With face of horror

What are you doing?

Have you got permission?

This is completely outrageous

I put it away

Took to my heels

Out the main door

Not even looking back

Jumped on the train

Express to Stockport please

The poor victim involved

When regaining her memory

Said to her dismay

I'm sorry to say

The size of it

Blocked my full view

But I don't mind

Even with the shock

Reliving the moment again

With a line up!

So funny...aye I am done with having someone else choose where to place my poetry..Actually someone else said about placing poems on the back of loo doors...and you know something?..I think that is a great idea lol..

PS Nice to see the poems get such a high profile postion within the shops. Perhaps they should have put them on the backs of all the lavatory doors.

An amusing poem - I've always thought Bolton might be a Mecca for flashers and such like - anywhere that has pastie shops instead of pies! Not sure you'd be any better off in Stockport, mind...

We got one of the poem in Booth's music shop - my sister will be using it for her profile picture :)
