Family Dinner
Two blistered sausages are spilling
their stuffing over the sofa.
The yellow of an egg has run;
the sun is exiting the sky.
Bacon curled dark anger, broken
by the children full of beans.

Yeah, sorry, I'm not trying to be precious about my "work".Black humour was my intent but I'll take any laughs going.
:) Sorry Ray - but it made me smile too. Children full of beans do that to you, don't they?
Thanks, Katherine, though Fun! is not what I was aiming at.

Thanks, Steve.The sun exiting the sky is not a line I've used or one I've came across before.I remember the old Dylan line "the sun isn't yellow, it is chicken". My sun is an egg. Now, at least we know which came first.
