Come and See: Be Witness
Come and See: Be Witness
Monday 27th August 2012
Assertion1:
Come and see
Young Alexander whoes shadow
is cast upon the arm of a man at rest.
Declares of him 'It is yours, just ask,
I will grant you all that you request.'
Assertion2:
Come and see,
push upon the open door, as
three youngsters in an ally-way
sit outside, listen and wish for more,
while watching Charlie Parker play.
Assertion3:
Come and see
the limp limbs pile
which he must yet confront.
He, unaware of the camera's eye-
shows us the madness yet to haunt.
Response1:
Then come and see
as Alexander cast a shadow,
upon the sunbathing Diogenese,
Alexander waited for his considered reply,
'move out of my light if you please.'
response2:
Then come and hear the music,
while Sheila Jordan schemed;
while wanting nought but song,
while outside the Sudan club
she dreamed.
Response3:
Then come and see
with the young Florya,
who ( having yet to fight)
seeks to extinguish chaotic dark
and with advantage- the sunless light.
Resolution:
Just you Come
and See
Come and See
and Bear Witness.
