Hidden Agendas

My husband’s lover is jealous of me
My husband is jealous of you
I am jealous of your wife
And she doesn’t have a clue

Honesty has no part to play
In this age old fashioned game
All delightfully free in delusion
The blood still runs the same

His wife
Is free
But the
Jealous triangle
Must keep
Hot blooded
To make
It work.

"Oh what a tangled web we weave,
When first we practise to deceive!"

Sir walter Scott - "Marmion."

"The blood still runs the same."

Great conclusion Katy; love and hormones have a lot to answer for! :)

Regards,
A.E. :)

If you chopped the odd syllable, particularly in the second verse, it could skip along like a child's rhyme.
