Crumbs - who does like the sound of a crying child - but that does explain it. I don't suppose she was into breast feeding either - the only way I seemed to get any of mine to shut up - so I did it just about everywhere and anywhere :) Very discreetly of course!
Oddly enough, from memory it was often other women who were the most disapproving. Sometimes we are our own worst enemies.
Cheers guys
Is - well, the crying line was put in there because of the dates of the unsolicited suggestions...I was born in '68, my mother didn't like crying babies...hence not being allowed to cry. Unsolicited words right from the get go ;)
Great performance and poem,Laura - I really enjoyed this.
The only thing I'm not so sure about is the crying. I think crying for women is quite accepted. It seems to be more frowned on for a man though. Small wonder pent up emotions lead to aggression - a good boo hoo does the soul wonders!
Excellent Laura. More power to your elbow.
