In My Mind
Hello folks, have not writen for a while, but have a new offering. It's just some observations from a recent trip abroad. Just proves what I say about travel and new experiences, they get the creative juices flowing.

In My Mind
It’s the smell, the sounds, the sights,
The taste, and even the touch.
It’s in the body oil, the car horns, the beautiful colours,
The Paw paw and Cocoa nut, and the handshake.
It’s in the people when they talk; the fishermen’s hall
The yellow and green-stripped taxis and in the bush.
It’s on the beach, and in the ocean,
In the grooves of sandy tracks and in the children
It’s in amazing markets, woven into the cloth,
On the wings of birds and written deep into ebony faces.
It’s in the eyes, dominates the view,
Infuses the optimism and hangs onto the desperation
But most of all, it’s in my mind
Which is where Gambia will forever stay.
