High over Liverpool

entry picture

Chilling out
high over Liverpool

Spilling out
from the surface of the earth

Breaking out
high over Liverpool

Making out what I can
feeling my way

Streets splashed like vomit
lie upon it

Spider’s webs strung out
hung out to dry

In the blue
high over Liverpool

Nothing to do
but wait to touch down

Feel my wheels
smoking on the ground

This is a song as well, you can probably tell. It was inspired by a plane journey last Tuesday. The picture is from that journey. I know you can't really make much out, but you can see the coastline. It's looking north towards Blackpool and Morecambe Bay. (I haven't got a decent sound recording of it yet, i only did a rough demo of it last night...)

Hi Ant, thanks for your comments..most kind.
I like your 'lofty' offering above, works really well, plus your (presumably) deliberate use of physical spacing between lines gave the piece a link to the 'airy' setting.
