Lavender Man
Oh the Lavender Man
He didn’t come today
We stayed in all morning
He didn’t come our way
The sun was so bright
We wanted to go out
But the Lavender Man
He just wasn’t about.
Now ladies need their lavender
Like a fish needs the watery sea.
We never will be satisfied.
Where can our Lavender be?
Oh the Lavender Man
Was meant to come by noon.
Yes the Lavender Man
He ought to be here soon.
Cos the garden is bare
Without some lavender
We can’t go anywhere
Without our lavender.
Cos ladies need their lavender
Like a dog needs a nice chewy bone
And if we can find some lavender
We’re gonna take the lavender home.
I’m gonna cry
Without my Lavender Man
I think I’ll die
Without my Lavender Man
I would do anything
To get my lavender
Pawn my new diamond ring
To get some lavender.
Bees need their lavender
Bees need their lavender
Bees need their lavender
Bees need their lavender

I listened to the "echo" version and think that
you have a delightful voice. I think you'd
make a great job of one of my favourite English
songs "Barbara Allen".
As for the melodic line, I had some difficulty
with it and wonder if the material would be
better suited to a recitation-style performance -
emphasising the vocal inflexions suitable to
your words.
