Probably my last blog of 2013 so all the very best for the New Year everyone;

Time is in the moment
The moment is in the deed
The deed is in the action
The action is in the need

Time is in the moment
The moment of the choice
The choice is in the substance
The substance gives us a voice.

Time is in the moment
The moment of the voice
The voice is in the message
The lips so softly moist

Time is in the moment
The message rolls off the tongue
The glass of water soothed the way
But the tears won’t be long

Time is in the moment
The moment is at the heart
The heart that words can shatter
and time can tear apart.

I'm interested to read that you prefer the first two verses as I personally preferred the last two. I love the concept too.

The first two verses came straight out of my pen and sat in my notebook for a considerable time while I worked out what was to come next. I did think of ending after verse four as I wasn't quite so happy with the last part but your suggestion is excellent. Many thanks MC.

I particularly like the first two verses - food
for thought and well conceived.
Not certain about the last line - my own thoughts
tend to go along with the downbeat words in the preceding line...to finish (in my mind) -
"And time can tear apart".
I guess it depends on whether you seek to finish
on an "upbeat" note.
I look forward to your work in 2014.
