Slime-Ball Wizard

entry picture

Ever since I was a young boy I used the village hall

For voting in elections; I’ve voted in them all;

But I ain’t seen nothing like his incompetence and gall

That bloke with the glasses sure is a mean Slime-Ball.

In leadership he’s lacking and in charisma too

He doesn’t have our backing; he doesn’t have a clue:

Hated in the Staff Room as well as County Hall

That bloke with the glasses sure is a mean Slime-Ball.

He’s a Slime-Ball Wizard the man we all loathe

A Slime-Ball Wizard – that man called Michael Gove.

“How do you think he does it?”

“I’ll tell ya. He makes the rest look good”

I’ve mastered my times-tables; I know my East from West

I’ve read all Aesop’s fables and passed all my SATS tests

My punctuation’s A+; my grammar’s best of all:

But I still can’t get past he sure is a mean Slime-Ball.

Says Dave to George “I think, by Jove,

We look much better sat next to Michael Gove”

For teachers it’s a passion, vocation and far more

For him it’s just a fashion to change what’s gone before

If you ask of teachers, “Why do you leave in droves?”

“That deaf, dumb and blind bloke, Useless Michael Gove”.

Hello MC. Excellent stuff. And, yes indeed, the choice of subject for the monica was wide and varied - a rich vein. Blair would have given me more rhyming options (care, dare, there etc than Gove) and, in truth, I do agree with some of Gove's policies. The main advantage of Gove though is that he is so ugly - he looks like a target.
Thankyou for your thoughts.

Wow...a stiletto job - and clever with it!!
I used to see Tony Blair in the same light - but -
(sing along)
"Tony Blair sent thousands off to war
Never learning from all that history before...
How do you think he did it?
I don't know (did he?!)"
(From "Pinhead Wizard")
