Trev in Texas 2014: Little Rock to Tere Haute

entry picture

Image: A brief history of part of Terre Haute and what its name means.

08.04.14: 45) I rose feeling jaded and worn

After kept being woken by loco horn

As if sleep was in vain, horns sounding again and again

Unlike grandfather clock chimes

Why do drivers have to sound them so many times?

46) Black coffee and a honey bun,

That’s it my breakfasts done

Car stowed, once more on the road

On tour again, drivin’ across the Arkansas plain

Another tour, listenin’ to K Love once more

Enjoyin' the music, track after track

It’s like they’re sayin’ “welcome back”.

I often listen to K Love on my tours, it is a Gospel Radio Station and plays great music

47) Missouri to Illinois roads is quiet but for me an’ a few trucks

Time to stop an’ spend a few bucks

Car fueled it’ll run well, need to fuel myself as well

Stop for coffee an’ a quick snack, then once more I’m back on track
