Trev in Texas 2014: Austin to San Antonio

22.04.14: 108) After 11 nights in Austin,
At the motel that’s nicely positioned
I drove away thinkin’ "it’s still the only Motel 6 in Austin
Where I haven’t been propositioned".
109) To San Antonio I’m goin’ Traffic slowin’
Nothin’ serious, to a crawl that’s all
Safe distance from the guy in front
Into his rear I don’t want to shunt
Don’t want a battle of wills over whose payin’ the medical bills
Guy behind, his patience worm, he sat there honkin’ his horn
I thought “it ain’t right, I’m gonna sit tight”.
He honked again but it was in vain
The traffic continued to linger
And in refute I gave the motorists salute
The raised middle finger.
110) Uptown, downtown, driving round
Familiar places open spaces
Familiar sights, familiar sounds park up, get out, walk around
Sun Poet’s open mic event, time well spent
Drivin’ back at the end of the day seems like I’ve never been away
