Living in another world to you

Living in another world to you

god only knows what kind of tale I tell
often, utterances, I don’t register
barriers between us,
our communiqué,
is one way these days
I think I’m living in another world to you
from the place where my heart resides,
from the path where the words,
try to escape,
to the mind and then the lips
to spit it out,
how I feel,
about you
just, I stutter, you anticipate
an expectant father, wait, tied
its, coming, no
just, oh, It just comes out alien!
I’m sorry about the syntax
sorry about the garbled dingbats
I stutter at the heartfelt place I’m at,
as I try and say I love you
utter one
utter two
utter three
trying to say ‘Love you’
but cant , try n force it
shant, may divorce it,
the emotion from the man
its this other world thing
this man planet
this macho emotional Janitor
keeps cleaning me out of tenderness
he makes me all dressed to impress
but when I try to digest
what I want to say
swept away am I,
instead of you
I wish to show you
so I squeeze with man strength
that’s my way of showing
not with words
hope your knowing this?
I’m not really in another world

good stuff, pete.. are you into talk talk? i think they had a song called that... either way, i like the loop in the poem and the way it seems to slow down a bit towards the end off it

Very nice poem, I hope she can read your mind, when the time comes.

i wish i could say this was nonsense , that men just say it when they love someone , but its not always so. and there are times when it would have been so much better said. in so many situations . but your poem expresses the feelings well,
