So Far Away So Long Ago

entry picture

It’s starting to rain again
Running down my face again
My smile stolen
Carried far out to sea
A ragged shingle edge
Stinging
A ringing loud and clear
Shells singing in my ear
Wild white horses prancing
Dancing all ways ever
So far away
So long ago

I enjoyed this - with its staccato rhythm A most pleasing evocation of time and place in memory,
real or imagined.
