HOPE WITHIN TIME
As another day draws to a close

So similar to yesterday

In my actions and the thoughts I struggle to keep at bay

Time is a thing I cannot control

Each day passes, then a month, another year

As I struggle on, not being able to change becomes the all-consuming fear

The rawness of emotion lessens

The cycle of terrifying darkness broken by hope has gone

But with the clarity of calm I begin to wonder do I want to gone on

My mask, that smile that I hide behind

I no longer have the want to maintain

And I find myself avoiding friends, believing I am not the same

My only hope now lies with time itself

That life moves on for us all, it is the greatest release

And perhaps, just perhaps in time I will find peace

You can tell your poetry comes straight from the heart. Time helps a lot, so don't give up on that hope. And I hope you keep posting here, you write with real authenticity.
