JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES
They crouched at my door like beggars
weighed down by resolute faith
an awkward insertion of flyer
proclaiming the purpose of our Lord.
at some grotesque stadium.
When I made no reply to the timid knock
they disappeared like will o'the wisps
too many miles on the clock
him and her
resigned to glory
in some misty future wonderland
of biblical proportions written in the sand.
