THE PEACE POLICE
The peace police are coming to town
their smiles are soft like fleecy down.
They've swapped their kevlar for polyweave
and their hearts are worn upon their sleeve.
They drift in pairs, go hand in hand
in solidarity's promised land.
Stop and search they offer you,
if you're alright they will be too.
They may protest at society's ills
to form a line with jacks and hills.
Violence they do despise
turning from wrath and political lies.
The peace police are recruiting soon
the prisons are full and out of tune
so come rejoice and ring the bells!
it's time to open up the cells.
