When we are troubled
we seek refuge in beauty
sanctuary in our sense of wonder
she serves us well
asks nothing from us
except awareness
as against our demands
she plays her gracious card.

Ray - I can appreciate the idea of nature's beauty as a form of panacea. She gives without expectation and we, in our ingratitude or greed, usually manage to f*** up the environment in return.
