20.04.16 – 116) Yesterdays evenin’ sun gives way to mornin’ rain

An’ I’m on the road again

Once more thunder rollin’  lightenin’ flashin’

Windscreen wipers splishin’ splashin’

Headin’ South to another town

Thinkin’ at least it’ll keep those Austin allergies down

An’ hopefully where I’m goin’ there’ll be sun

But a breakfast stop’s priority one

 

117) Breakfast had I’m away rain comin’ down hard an’ heavy spray

Watch the brake lights of the car in front

Don’t want to be involved in a shunt

Drive with care, I wanna get there

An my poetry won’t get read, if I’m laid up in a hospital bed

 

118) Grey sky gives way to blue an’ I find, I’ve left the rain behind

Soon San Antonio’s where I’m at, but no time for thinkin’ that’s that

Priority number two, I got my laundry to do

 

119) Laundry done, jeans an’ tee shirts pressed

I always try to look cleanly dressed
