SCATTERBRAINED (acrostic sonnet?)

Scarcely have I thought to act in good time,

Challenging for me to remember things.

All that information lost from my prime,

Trust my memory to glide off on wings!

Those commodities I forgot to buy

Especially at supermarket stores,

Reaching home without them making me sigh

Because I have to go straight back outdoors.

Reality check comes when I appear

At venues having left something behind,

Invariably key items, I fear,

Never anything unimportant, mind.

Essentially, I made up a check list

Doubtful I’ll remember it, that’s the twist!

Reading glasses are the worst, Phillip, I have 4 pairs and still manage to misplace them all, ha ha.

Thank you very much for your kind comments, much appreciated.

Oops, rather a belated thanks for your comments, gentlemen. :-)

Harry, it's not all the groceries, just some of them, haha!

Yes, it's a temporary thing, MC, normally concentration on other things!

Appreciated

Clever stuff.
How many times...how many times..I forgot to give
Consideration to an intended buy - memory like a sieve!
But temporary forgetfulness is merely mental fragility
Or concentration on other things - not incipient
senility! (I hope! :->)
