SAMMY B GOODE
On 7th May I shall attempt a Charity Marathon Row along with my daughter, Samantha, in aid of the TEENAGE CANCER TRUST. I do not wish to visit the WOL well too many times, but anyone who would like to support these kids can do so on my Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/John-Coopey?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=shares-from-email&utm_campaign=page-create-email-share-facebook&utm_content=John-Coopey
From here in Chapel Haddlesey to Morley, Leeds
They speak of little else but Sammy Coopey’s deeds
Tuff Mudding with the Dirty Girls through rain and sleet
And diving from an aeroplane at 10000 feet.
Then abseiled for the Red Cross just a year ago
But now it’s Teenage Cancer Trust. Just watch Sammy go.
Go, go. Go, Sammy, go.
Go. Go, Sammy, go.
Go. Go, Sammy, go.
Go, Sammy, go.
Go. Sammy B Goode.
Along with her Old Dad she’ll do a marathon
By heaving on the rower that she’s sat upon.
A distance which in miles is over 26
And not the sort of thing that you do very quick;
A feat of strength and stamina and mental powers
We reckon it will take a roundabout 4 hours.
Row, row. Row, Sammy, row.
Row. Row, Sammy, row.
Row. Row, Sammy, row.
Row. Row, Sammy, row.
Row, Sammy B Goode.
So if you’d like to help Samantha make a crust
And contribute towards the Teenage Cancer Trust
It’s really very simple all you need to do
Is reach into your wallet for a bob or two
Then pop it in the pot and watch the kitty grow
And wish her all the best when Sam begins her row.
Row, row. Row, Sammy, row.
Row. Row, Sammy, row.
Row. Row, Sammy, row.
Row. Row, Sammy, row.
Row, Sammy B Goode.
