Someone To Care
She drifts through each day in a dreary depression,
Her mind is a void, on her face no expression,
And so as she wanders she wonders inside
If all of her erstwhile emotions have died.
It’s been such a long time since she felt so free,
And danced through the day in a gusto of glee,
When fun was the norm and joy was her byword,
And each bright new day she’d thrill to look forward.
But swiftly the sadness that stunned her had come;
The days that delighted turned dismal and glum.
With no one to turn to she withered away,
And dreaded the dawning of each dreary day.
She knew all she needed was someone to care,
To cuddle and hold her, her troubles to share.
De-stress her, caress her and speak of such things,
As sunshine and laughter and butterflies wings.
They’d run and they’d frolic and dance in the rain,
And let the sun dry them when it shone again;
But where would she find this fine fairy-tale friend,
To schmooze her, amuse her, her misery mend.
So slowly she started to open her eyes,
To shrug off the shackles of downcast disguise,
And as she looked round her, she saw someone there,
With burning brown eyes and a spellbinding stare.

There, I've changed it. I think that's a bit better.
