To just be!

“This rage this fear I hold it close with a tear

this pain this uncertainty bears impermanence”

we are time travellers

life unravellers

but we decay the end of the day

 we are not eternal

 but our concepts live on

and grow beating wings

and fly off into eternity

from day one we are born with soft flesh

soft mesh we have no armour plating

scars form on our bodies and our souls

fixated with many things that bring us pain

we are not  free and freedom, and freedom can't reign

 our vices hold us down

until we can't breathe without them

its like we can't stem the tide

 we can't hide from ourselves

books that line shelves

give us understanding but not the freedom we are demanding

only I can set myself free

in  my desperation to just be....
