"Vanity...vanity...all is vanity!"

A statement so questionable,

It's close to profanity.

But then I suppose

We each have a weakness:

One might admire strength

Whilst another loves meekness.

But it saps at our sanity

To say ALL is vanity

Though its author might resent

Accusations of inanity.

So why not amend it

To assuage sensitivities

And be thought as generous

In addressing proclivities..

"Vanity...vanity...SOME is vanity!"

That much is fair to most of humanity!
