Tell me what you think

Tell me what you think of my words,

my poems,

the stories I create.

Tell me what you think of my wit,

my worlds I make,

the way I write.

Tell me what you think I do well,

could do better,

give me another outlook on my writing.

Tell me what you think because

your opinions matter.

They help me realize how well I write,

what I do well,

what I did or wrote wrong.

I need your say in this,

because you make me a better

person and writer when you

tell me what you think.

You matter to me,

even if you think you don’t.

You are my saving grace,

my anchor.

I came here for a safe haven,

a sanctuary,

but I wasn’t sure what you’d think.

Was I bad?

Was I good?

I didn’t expect to be good at all.

But you showed me my talent.

I want to say thank you for all

that you’ve done for me.

How did I do?

On this poem?

Tell me what you think,

if you want.

It helps me grow.

I just can't understand this
Can't understand it Elle
Why no-one has responded
To tell you you write well

It's obvious to me
You're asking for feedback
Does no-one want to give it?
Why feedback do you lack?

Like you I want to know
On poems how did I go?
For as we both agree
Feedback is how we grow
