Where Will You Go ?

Where Will You Go?

I like you mind, despite your strange-

ful ways you work sometimes

You puzzle and frustrate me but

You always seem to rhyme

You're smart, clever and subtle

You'd make a perfect match

For any other clever mind

That's hatched from your same batch

My body it gets weary but

You're very, very kind

You try and make an effort

To not leave me behind

If I lag behind a bit

You wait till I'm ahead

Don't want to see you race away

Leave me behind for dead

So who's controlling who in this?

Who does hold the reigns?

Me?, my mind?, don't really know

Who does steer this train?

We'll stick together, me, my mind

Until we reach the end

When I go back to dust again

Where will you go, my friend?

I know my physical body will go back to the earth but where (if anywhere) do those intangible things like the mind, soul, spirit go? I like the idea of recycling. I've asked my mind where it's going to shoot off to and it just shrugs its shoulders. Great help it is.....Just says make good use of me while I'm here. What sort of friend is that? Anya...?

It jogs along nicely Don, and with a subject that will resonate with a lot of others.
