Don't Ever Forget

Don't ever forget

I lived

don't ever dismiss

my name

don't comb through my will

looking for money

don't bury me without

a poem

don't say goodbye

without a memory

don't think of my worst

but remember my best

sing a merry song

and have a strong drink

dance on my grave

if you like

just remember

I'll see ya later.

I'm quite intrigued here D. Knape. It seems to have a steely resolve, with a threat at the end. I like the repetition of Don't as it hammers home and makes a pleasant change from softy wafty poetry which can be just too much sometimes. I can't help thinking of Coen Brothers films.
