WOOF WOOF

entry picture

So where to walk?

it's our biggest joy

tho the squirrels would disagree

Such complexity in a small ball of fur

his brain must have been misplaced

Feelings unexpected

hard to decipher

when words can not be exchanged

Not sure how to steer this ship

No matter which way I go

the waters are calm

then choppy

How to make the world

what he deserves...

Quirky is the word I use

to explain him

too simple really

Has life really come to this?

feeling I could fail

at what most do in their spare time

Why the wind sends such

unusual souls my way

I will never understand

All I can do is walk

with the breeze

hoping the sunshine follows.

Just lost a cute Jack Russel called Bonzo, very old .Couldn't take him to the vet myself had to get a friend to do it.Like loosing a member of the family.
Had a dog in the past called Woof, whenever I shouted his name out everyone thought I was barking mad.

So sorry for your loss Douglas.

My little guy has been diagnosed with heart issues so each day is precious. I so adore him but he is a pill lol. I think God made him cute so people are willing to put up with some of his antics.

I will miss him dearly when it is his time and wish I was still dealing with his quirky behavior.

It hasn’t been all that long since my dog died. Your poem reminds me of the joy he was. Thank you for that.
