loving the knife thrower
The world whirls round
a whizzing mandala
of unrecognisable images.
An action painting
made of light.
Faster and faster
in fishnet tights she spins.
And she wonders
“Does he still love me?”
or is there another
knife thrower’s assistant
waiting in the wings?
She’s strapped too tight to struggle
as he begins to throw knives.
Hopefully, she’ll be on again later
pulling rabbits out of hats.

At face value, terrific. Your unique poetic skills for novel imaging are flying. Choice of subject-brilliant: Who hasn't wondered at the kind of courage necessary for these 'acts'?
At metaphor level, intentional or not, even more electrifying as the situation covers every 'bondage' relationship I can think of, including marriage.
