AND SO THIS IS BREXIT

entry picture

And so this is Brexit

And isn’t this fun?

Ye Leavers have won it,

But what have ye won?

The deal of Theresa

Looks more like Remain

For all of your blather

Just what have ye gained?

Cos Juncker gave nothing

With Barnier as brusque

They dealt you a yarborough

And likewise did Tusk.

So you silly Leavers

Ye squawk and ye squeal

‘We’re still tied to Europe

It’s worse than No Deal!’

So Yes this is Brexit

But what have ye done

Ye Leavers have won it;

But what have ye won?

Thanks, Po.
MC and myself disagree fundamentally over this issue but we remain respectful.

MC- What we have now is a consequence of what we voted for. And Alan is quite right - there never was a plan on “Leave”. Self-publicists like Johnson, Rees-Mogg, Davies, even Gove have played you like a fiddle and all to position themselves for their own gain. I too would be angry if I were in your shoes. As it is, I have the luxury of being sanctimonious.

The comments about being in hock to the USA leave me smiling -
with family over there following WW2 and who are only too ready
to support an England that has the nerve and commitment that
served us in braver times than now.
The EU loves to call itself "Europe". I suggest you check when
they last displayed any interest in the PEOPLES of the countries of Europe and their hopes and wishes, And have a look at the words
of a founding father of the "project" who set out how it would work
without the "peoples" being aware of what was intended. If that is
your idea of something worth being part of, then count me out and
point me towards the rest of the world while the "project" led by its
Franco-German aliiance seeks to keep its floundering ship - the SS Deceit - afloat.

Well said John. Trouble was that the people who wanted us out of Europe a) didn't think about the consequences and b) didn't want the job of deciding what to do next and slunk off to their sheds.
Now what we have is an almighty cock-up which will leave us in hock to the USA if we don't look out. How many years do you give it before the NHS is stolen from us, like the Post Office etc.etc.?

The government can’t be held to blame for 17m people telling them to build a submarine made of cheese. They can be held to blame for trying to build one rather than telling the people not to be so stupid.

Ask why the European Communities Act wasn't immediately repealed by Parliament when the result of the referendum was known, with the initiative with the government to put forward
proposals from the "people's power" point of view. Then ask if
the problem is actually Brexit OR those in Parliament who have led
us down the EU garden path and still want us there.
Remainers loath leaving
The EU - like grieving
For a mummy that guides them
But always over-rides them.
Brexit didn't suit
So they don't give a hoot
They're kids needing nannies
To wipe their little fannies
As long as they do
What the nannies tell them to..
