Rhymer Club's Collapsed, Kaputt

I've sad news to relate

The Rhymer Club's kaputt

It hit a bloody brick wall

And lost it's metric foot

 

The damage it was so great

For us to try repair

Some changed their appearance

Some went here, some there

 

Was quite a cultured club it was

Creating rhyme each Sat

It's quality was impeccable

E.g. cat sat on mat

 

But now our club has gone

Down the gurgler, shame

I'm left all lonely, themeless

No chance of gaining fame

 

Oh well, what can I do now?

To make up for the club?

And satisfy my theming thirst

Maybe try rub-a-dub?

 

Someone's gotta carry on

Rhyming words of fun

Lift the tone of our WOL site

Here I am - all done

 

I'm doing as suggested

To increase fun on site

Leading by example

Am I doing right?

 

What words of wit and wisdom

Can I fill this void?
