Four walls closing in

Darkness fills within

Heart grows cold as ice

Tonight begins the sacrifice

 

Hope escapes through open doors

To cut the cord with no remorse

Bitter songs of despair

Cries for help, but no-one’s there

 

Heartbeat faintly sedates

Cursed, abandoned, filled with hate

Darkness surrounds to no evade

All life inside begins to fade

To the light, through open door

Up and away the soul elates

Freedom found through grim escape
