The Remainer said to the Leaver:

"Why do you deal in lies?"

The Leaver said to the Remainer:

"It may come as a surprise - 

But as long as we stay in the EU

We're bound to pay what they say is due."

The Remainer said to the Leaver

"Why would we dismantle what's been done...

Travelling easy - so much fun!"

The Leaver said to the Remainer:

"And what of trouble crossing borders...

The sort that brings terror and disorders?"

The Remainer said to the Leaver:

"Why give up our role among the EU nations

Such comfort that compares to family relations?"

The Leaver said to the Remainer:

"Why would you let your nation be guided

By those so often undecided?"

The Remainer said to the Leaver:

"But that's democracy in action, for sure -

And leaving it will leave us poor.."

The Leaver said to the Remainer::

"Why stay with what's been accompllshed stealthily

Hardly honest or meant to improve us wealthily."

The Remainer said to the Leaver:

"But we can't  be blamed - we didn't know,

And it might be dangerous if we go."

The Leaver said to the Remainer:

"Why not risk to regain the right

To face the world that lies in sight?"

The Remainer said to the Leaver:

"Why depart - we are still free

In so many ways - you must agree!"

The Leaver said to the Remainer:

I do not - but you won't see

It's not to Brussels I bend the knee."

The Remainer said to the Leaver:

"That's no excuse (and none too wise),

The world is watching with troubled eyes."

The Leaver said to the Remainer;

"Why would we surrender ways hard won -,

Told by foreigners what must be done-

Why not reach beyond as once we did

In days gone by - by getting rid

Of laws and diktats from the source

That history will see run its course."

So, let's leave Leaver and the Remainer

To go off on their way;

One determined we should depart,

The other - that we should stay.
