If only we could.

We could sail the Merced River in the gaze of the Half Dome,
lay back on the deck and watch the clouds pass overhead,
picture pretty in the cerulean sky.
We could frolic on the sandy shores, secluded and free.
or picnic in the shade of trees, old and well worn.
We could get drunk on the mountain air,
fresh and spirited,
and love as the sun sets twice in reflection.
We could watch the stars glimmer above,
and the moon,
an overbalanced smile in atramentous deception.
We could live the dream in togetherness,
surrounded by natures perfect creation.

◄ One more for the cellar.

We CANNOT avoid good use of vivid vocabulary because readers might not know what the words mean! Good heavens!!

I like the feel of this Kathryn.
I had to look up atramentous (being a thickie) which somewhat takes a away from the easy read of it. If it means inky blackness then it's a great fit, but I wonder who'll know that (or is it only me). Very easy, lazy ambience though. A bit different from the last one! Keep on going.
