The Penultimate Chapter

And so, they stole her from her bed at night

and brought her to her knees before the hunter.

She felt the cold blade on her; blindfolded tight

and laughed at the edge to make it blunter!

He dropped his crooked dagger and he sighed.

"I suppose the ending can wait for another day..."

He slit the silk in two; she opened her eyes wide!

"It's brighter than I fancy, but I love it anyway!"

I really like it when you write dialogue, you do seem to have a natural talent for it. Really good Mae.

Thank you Dorothy for reading and commenting! I'm glad you like it!

If you ask me, the whole point of that piece is in the, albeit vague and probably not perfectly crafted, dialogues. That's where the important things are said, the plot fragment is just a tool, the setting.

But then again the interpretation of the reader, most of the times, proves to be far deeper and way more interesting that the writer's actual approach!

I think if you knew more, you'd find nothing other than an overworn fairy tale, much like Snow White...

As much as I love fairy tales; that, I believe you damp your imagination!
Thank you!?

I love it's a mystery - for me, it is like watching a scene from a play,

i would love to know more, everything about it, but would that take

away the mystery and damp my imagination?.

It was actually meant to sound this way! But maybe I will weave a little something around it!
Thank you Martin! ?
