Saving Grace

by

 

Busy bees sustain

our world indeed

and so deserve

our sympathy

 

Sometimes a poor

hard-working bee

will fall to earth

ungraciously

 

Our obligation

toward said bee

is to help it rise

triumphantly

 

With saving grace

we all agree

to save the small

is charity.

Bees and wasps: they remind me of contrasting members of a
family - benign and argumentative - that comes to visit in summer
