The Man Who Thinks Too Much
The Man Who Thinks Too Much
He’s the man who thinks too much
The man who thinks too much
He thinks alcohol is a sturdy crutch
The man who thinks too much
He views the universe through a microscope
Eternal optimist, devoid of hope
He’ll hang himsen, if you give him the rope
He thinks he can manage, but just can’t cope
He thinks too much… the bloody dope
An iron fist with a gentle touch
He overthinks, and so as such
He’s just the man who thinks too much
A cycle of make-do and mend
He thinks he’s found the rainbow’s end
A crock of gold to apprehend
He’s going round the bloody bend
Keeps goldfish in a rabbit-hutch
He is the man who thinks too much
He thought he’d found his one true love
An angel sent from heav’n above
And then he found a second dove
Love can’t match lust, push comes to shove
His hand now fits another glove
He’s double dated, going Dutch
He thinks it’s fine to think too much
He thinks he can right the wrongs of men
A kitten in the dragon’s den
He thought that gas was a solid…. Right until when
He thought he farted, and shit himsen
He grasps at air.. no straw to clutch
He’s on the brink. He thinks too much
He’s lost the link. He thinks too much

Absolutely brilliant, so many favourite lines but for me the stand outs were, "Eternal optimist, devoid of hope, He’ll hang himsen, if you give him the rope, He thinks he can manage, but just can’t cope, He thinks too much… the bloody dope."
And, "He thought that gas was a solid…. Right until when, He thought he farted, and shit himsen."
There's a lot of wisdom hidden in that there humour!
