Idle Chit Chat from a Walkabout Mind
Idle Chit Chat from a Walkabout Mind
I'm sitting in Hillbillys
My Thalia, Muse of Mirth
Watching over shoulder as
I write these gems of worth
(Or rubbish....)
There's one thing I enjoy 'bout this
Keyboarding all my thoughts
'Lectronically to my hard drive
From where they're held tight, caught....
Till when I choose, release them
From hard drive to your screen
Viewed by those who wish to
Wish my stuff be seen
And yes, I call it 'stuff' on purpose
You decide it's worth
Is it poetry or not?
Rubbish? Genius birth?
I know I'm 'crazy', different
My mind goes walkabout
Thankyou Rose explaining why
Why it takes this route
I don't know what to comment
I don't know what to say
It's all just stuff and nonsense Don
Don't stop, keep blogging 'way
I really don't care what you think
I'll think, keyboard and post
Cos doing this, I like it, fun
(For breakfast I had toast...)
(What's toast got to do with it?...)
(Nothing.....just rhymes)
(He's hopeless....)

The reference to betting shops reminds me of the gag from an old
(as "of yesteryear") comic about his luck backing the gee-gees.:
"I follow the horses that follow other horses".
Boom-boom!!
